*Bonus Stage: Activision distributed a handful of SMS games in North America back in the 80ās (Bomber Raid, Cyborg Hunter, Galaxy Force, Rampage) and while these games retained the classic Sega grid box design, Activisionās SMS games opted for unique box colors that really stand out from the general white box aesthetic found throughout the SMS library.
(We will be highlighting more Activision SMS games and boxes in future posts.)
Ha just mentioned this in my comment on Cyborg Hunter (which we got on the same day). This was a really solid port, and simultaneous 2p games - let alone co-op ones - were somewhat hard to come by. My brother & I played through the whole thing in one night to see the ending (don't remember there being much of one). It got really grueling and dull after awhile but I think that's just the natural byproduct of it being more of a quarter-muncher vs a deep at-home experience. Surprised there was never a sequel. Barbara the Blob, Quentin the Quetzalcoatl, Ernie the Elder God...
Wonderful game, excellent pics!
