Updated: Jun 12, 2022

Toy: Tiny Arcade

Title: Frogger

Release: 08/01/2018

Manufacturer: Super Impulse

Original Game: Konami, 1981

Guide the frogs across the highway and river to safety in this miniscule take on the arcade hit!

Lily pads not included. 🐸

There's a beautiful simplicity to Frogger that makes it just as endearing and addictive today as it was back in the arcade days of yore. Developed by Konami, and released in arcades in 1981 by Sega / Gremlin, Frogger has since gone on to become a revered video game classic.

Players guide frogs across a busy highway, dodging oncoming traffic to reach the river, where the frogs must then hop with skillful might across turtles and logs and other water-faring hazards. Logs are a safe haven, but stay alert, as jumping on the backs of certain turtles only gives you a moment of safety before they submerge. Additionally, while jumping on the back of an alligator is safe, jumping into one's mouth... is not recommended.

So, if you're looking to improve your Frogger skills, and consistently land five frogs safely in their homes to complete each level, why not do it on the go? Super Impulse's mini rendition of Frogger brings the hit arcade game home in an all new way. Acting as either a nice piece of game-room or desk decor, or an on-the-move playable replica cabinet (complete with keychain-style hook to hang on bags) you can always have this pixelated amphibious friend with you everywhere you go!

What are your favorite memories with this frog-hopping, coin-munching classic?
